 Scholarship Information  

CCA accepts the following scholarships:
 

Step Up for Students – is a Florida Corporate Tax Credit (CTC) Scholarship Program. CTC Scholarships are awarded to pay up to $3,750 annually per child (with possibility of increasing to $4,500) for private school tuition for eligible low-income families. 
 

Eligibility Criteria:   

• Your total household income must be equal to or less than the amount established by the guidelines for the National Free & Reduced Lunch Program.
• Students entering grades 2 – 12 must have been in attendance at a Florida public school the school year prior to receiving the CTC Scholarship. Children in Kindergarten – 1 are exempt from this.
• Students entering Kindergarten must be 5 years old on or by September 1^st of the year of the scholarship award.

McKay – is for students with special needs. If the student is a new applicant to CCA, please provide the following information along with the registration: Most recent report card and FCAT testing, IEP (most recent), Psycho-Educational Battery (most recent), ESE Programs student has received (past and present).

Eligibility Criteria:

• Student must have been enrolled and reported for funding in a Florida public school during the October, 2007 and February, 2008 FTE surveys (Grades Kindergarten – 12).
• Student must have an Individual Education Plan (IEP).
• Student must have completed a year of Kindergarten.

School Readiness – Income based program for all preschool aged children to 5 years old. Please call the below listed telephone number for locations near your home to register your child(ren). 

Eligibility Criteria:

•  The child must reside in Florida.  

Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Education Program (VPK) – Is for families of students 4 years old by September 1 of the school year. Application Form AWI-VPK01 needs to be completed and submitted
to receive funding from this program. To receive this application, please call the telephone number listed
below for a location near your home. This form is also on-line through the State of Florida at the below
listed website.  

Eligibility Criteria:   

• The child must reside in Florida.
• The child must be 4 years old, but not yet 5 years old on September 1 of the school year.
