Visual Arts Middle School students build upon the foundation learned in Elementary Studio Art, expanding their understanding of the elements of art and principles of design. Ceramic clay (potter's wheel, handbuilding, pottery, glazing), drawing, acrylic painting, sculpture, computer art are some of the Studio Art materials and methods used.

Fine Arts Field Trips
Fine Arts Department sponsors the Washington DC trip (8th – 11th grade), Art Gallery Trips, and a Middle School/High School Bands' Award Day each year.
All School Talent Showcase
CCA students K – 12 may compete in this end of the year showcase. There is an audition process and those who pass the auditions perform for the student body who vote for their favorites in Elementary and Secondary (Middle School/High School). Top Elementary and Top Secondary Talents receive trophies.
